Director of Patient Services, Stage4Hope

Heather Heard serves as a board member and the Director of Patient Services at Stage4Hope, where she helps provide care, comfort, and resources to individuals and families walking through the cancer journey. In addition to this role, Heather works as the Executive Assistant at Carter Development Group, supporting the team with organization, communication, and day-to-day operations. Both of these roles allow her to use her strengths in service, coordination, and relationship building— skills she has developed over more than 25 years of professional experience.

Her background includes 16 years in education and 10 years in business administration, most recently working with elementary students at Gwinnett Online Campus. Prior to that, Heather spent several years teaching middle school language arts and public speaking at Hebron Christian Academy, where she also led a student support club for the community and volunteered at numerous school events and fundraisers. Whether in the classroom or the community, she has always had a heart for encouraging and supporting others.

Heather has been married to her husband Greg for nearly 30 years, and together they have raised three daughters. Her faith, family, and passion for serving others are at the core of who she is. Being part of Stage4Hope allows her to pour that passion into something deeply meaningful— offering hope and dignity to those navigating cancer, one family at a time.
