Stacy Lynn Carter is the founder of Stage4Hope, a philanthropic leader dedicated to transforming the experience of advanced-stage cancer patients. After being diagnosed with stage IV ROS1-positive lung cancer in December 2023, Stacy encountered overwhelming gaps in care, from delays in access and confusing genetic testing guidance to insurance roadblocks and a lack of emotional and healing support. Determined to address these challenges, she established Stage4Hope to deliver real options, faster pathways to care, and renewed purpose for those facing late-stage diagnoses.

A seasoned entrepreneur, philanthropist, and real estate investor, Stacy brings more than three decades of executive leadership. She spent 35 years as CEO of Carter & Clark, growing the company from a startup into the largest land-surveying firm in the U.S. focused on builder-services surveying, before successfully selling it to private equity in 2022. She continues to lead Carter Development Group, where she oversees high-value real estate investments and hard money lending across the Southeast.

Stacy’s personal cancer journey has deepened her purpose. She began targeted therapy shortly after diagnosis and experienced a rapid and dramatic response. Now enrolled in a clinical trial for NVL-520 (Zidesamtinib), she continues to do remarkably well. Her excellent quality of life and firsthand experience equip her to speak with clarity, insight, and compassion to others navigating the uncertainty of advanced cancer.
